Brinke Stevens is an internationally renown cult actress of horror movies (she's called a "Scream Queen" by her legion of loyal fans). Over the past two decades, Brinke has starred in 66 movies from independent producers like Roger Corman and Full Moon's Charles Band. She's been featured on HARD COPY, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, CNN, and numerous German, British, and French TV-news shows in the last year. Frequently an honored guest at fan conventions around the world, she enjoys travel and meeting her unique cult audiences.
Born in San Diego, California, Brinke has been interested and involved in the entertainment world all her life. At an early age, she was acting in school plays, tap dancing on stage, and editing the school newspaper. Truly a Renaissance woman, her creative talent and beauty is matched by her exceptional intelligence. After graduating from San Diego State University, Brinke went on to earn a Masters Degree in marine biology from Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla. For a time, she worked as a scientist for San Onofre Nuclear Power Station and National Marine Fisheries.
For a number of years, Brinke had a successful career as a model. Her print and commercial work soon led to employment as a leading actress in dozens of films, among them: HAUNTING FEAR, SPIRITS, MOB BOSS, GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE, and MOMMY. She is also an accomplished dancer and has appeared in many music videos. With an exceptional screen presence, Brinke projects an aura and class reminiscent of stars of the 1930's and '40's. Yet she also has the range, depth, and versatility to play many diverse roles.
Brinke has written several screenplays, as well as fiction and non-fiction articles for such genre publications as FEMME FATALES, WEIRD TALES, and MONSTERLAND. She's the model and writer for a popular new comic book, "BRINKE OF DESRUCTION". As a producer, Brinke has helmed and hosted four volumes of SHOCK CINEMA, a video documentary about the horror film industry. She's currently co-producing her first feature film.
